Take a moment to start or finish your day with prayer and read Psalms 9 - 18 . How many times are you asked, "How are you". It is a loaded question that we answer with, "I'm good". But is it really good? Who do you unload on? Who do you tell everything to? We could always surprise the stranger who asked us how we were doing and unload on them. But could they help? Talking is good. And I encourage you to find a friend you can trust to talk to about everyday life. In today's reading of Psalms, we find that God is also a friend we can talk to. Today's psalms have a range of emotions. Fear, Sorry, Why Me, Why do the "bad guys" always win to joy, gratitude and thanksgiving. In the Psalms you will notice a pattern. The writer states their issue, gives their complaint. Sometimes they question God and show their anger. But in the end, they always realize who they are talking to...God.
